WATER IS IMPORTANT.

Drinking at least 3-4 litres a day enables your body to heal, protect and function properly. Are you making you hydration a priority?

Drinking enough water each day is crucial for many reasons: to regulate body temperature, keep joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells (from all that good food you're eating!), and keeps organs functioning properly. Being well-hydrated also improves sleep quality, cognition and mood! So basically, water is pretty cool.

WHO's recommended daily intakes of water are: men 3.7 litres per day and women 2.7 litres per day. Plus more during exercise.

However we know how easy it can be to not make your water intake a priority, so we have included a focus on hydration inside our 4 rituals.

Water can also be a great tool to aide in weight loss. It is 100% calorie free, helps you burn more calories and may even regulate appetites if consumed regularly. The benefits are even greater if you are replacing sugary or caffeinated drinks with water.

If you struggle with getting adequate water into your body every day heres a few tips:

  • Find a drink bottle you love and take with you during your day.

  • Add fruit like lemon, lime, cucumber or strawberries to your water to add some yummy, natural flavour.

  • Give yourself targets to hit. Example; finish 1 litre before morning tea break.

  • Limit Caffeine & Alcohol as these can dehydrate your system

  • Limit Tap Water (Invest in a water filter)

  • Get a little bit hippie and fill your water with Good Vibes by writing an affirmation on your drink bottle

    or popping a charged crystal inside for ten minutes before drinking.
